About

Soph Beresford.jpg
Heyaaaa, and welcome!

Everyone deserves to live a happy life – well, apart from Donald Trump and Katie Hopkins.

I’ve spent years tirelessly scouring the internet trying to find out how I can be happier, healthier and feel a Lizzo level of confident. In 2019, I decided to find the answers myself and share my findings through Like I Care.

My intentions for this blog are quite selfish, I’ll be honest. I get a kick out of making people feel better about life and themselves. That’s what I hope you get from reading my blogs. My hope is that you realise you’re not alone and you walk away from this site feeling reassured, empowered and comforted by my words. You might even learn a thing or two along the way. TOLD you I was a selfish cow – what a disgrace.

In 2020, I launched a separate part of the site, ‘Like You Care’ which acts, almost, like a community. Here you can find people sharing their stories of tackling mental health issues and low self esteem and what they're doing to live a happy, healthy life.

It’s important to highlight that I am NOT an expert. I am a 20-something-year-old woman with a history of anxiety, depression and low self esteem. I'm sharing all my thoughts and experiences with you on the situations or issues I’m experiencing and how I am trying to improve my mental health and wellbeing in the process. Not a PhD in sight, just a lot of experiences I can draw on.

Thanks for submitting!

“I've just read this and your last blog and they're SO good.

So relatable!”

“Your writing is so refreshingly honest and relatable. I have found reading your stuff a great help - please don't stop!”

"Thanks to the blog, I feel less alone in how I feel. I've read other blogs that touch on wellbeing and stopped reading them because they're patronising. This blog isn't at all."
